It is with broken hearts we say good-bye to the most wonderful husband, father, father-in-law and Pop, Raymond J. McCarthy at the age of 66.

Forever loved by Eunice, his high school sweetheart and wife of 47 years, his two children Dean & Dana, who enriched his life with a wonderful daughter-in-law Chantal and son-in-law David. They together enriched his life even more with four grandsons Zachary, Jacob, Nathan & Logan, and two beautiful granddaughters Raeghan & Acacia.  They were his everything and he was theirs.

Greeting him with open arms are his mother and father Monica & Bernard, his brother Vince, his father & mother-in-law Michael & Helen Burke, and brother-in-law Kevin Burke.

Loved and forever missed by his brothers, sisters, many nieces and nephews, and treasured always by the Burke family, whom he loved with all his heart.  He will be missed by so many friends and co-workers from Newfoundland to Ontario, and especially his best friend Harry Smith.

At Ray's request a private family service is taking place in Alberta followed by cremation.  A celebration of Ray's life will take place at Maher's Funeral Home, Placentia, NL on Saturday, November 14, 2015, with visitation starting at 9am.  The funeral service will start at 1:30pm at the funeral home, with inurnment at 2pm at St. Anne's Cemetery in Dunville.  Reception to follow at Lions Centre, Dunville.

Donations in Ray's memory can be made to Canadian National Institute for the Blind at www.cnib.ca
