It is with heavy hearts and
a lifetime of memories that we announce the peaceful passing of our
beloved mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister and sister in
law Drucie Brown.
Drucie
passed peacefully away at her home on Friday, May 27th at the age of
67. She
was surrounded by her loving family, daughters Jennifer, Kelly
(Terry), grand daughters Terri Lynn and Heidi and great grand daughter
Lacee Kate; sisters Vera and Juanita; brothers Doug, George and Sam;
special friends Aunt Ann (Vince) and Eileen; and a large number of
extended family members.
Drucie
is predeceased by her parents Dave and Katie, brothers Leo and Cyril.
Leaving
to mourn with the fondest of memories, her daughters Jennifer and
Kelly (Terry); sisters Elsie, Ethel (Gord), Viola (Mike), Vera (Fred),
and Juanita (Jerome); brothers Doug (Marie), George (Cathy), Sam
(Jane), and David (Noreen); sisters-in-law Gwen and Annie; a large number of
nieces and nephews; grandchildren Terri Lynn and Heidi; and great
granddaughter Lacee Kate. Also mourning Drucie's passing are her
loving members of the Brown family, her extended family Mel (Anthony),
Anthony Jr (Angie), Jon and Melanie; as well as special
friends Aunt Ann, Lee, Linda and
Eileen.
Drucie
fought courageously with her battle with cancer, always having a brave
smile and a deep profound love of her family. She will be forever
loved and remembered in the hearts of those who loved her dearly. Rest
in peace Drucie and may your good deeds go with you as God takes you
to his heavenly home.
Resting
at Maher's Funeral Home with private visitation for family
and close friends on Sunday,
May 29th from 12-9pm. Cremation to follow with inurnment
to take place at Dermot McGettigan Memorial Cemetery, Southeast
Placentia, on Wednesday, June 1 at 1pm.
No
flowers by request however, donations in Drucie's memory can be made
to the Ronald McDonald House or the Canadian Cancer
Society.
