It is with great sadness that the family of Fred Mulrooney of Placentia, announce his passing at the Lions Manor Nursing Home on May 16, 2017, at the age of 73.

Predeceased by his parents Bride and Patrick Mulrooney, precious son Frankie and brother Jimmy.

Leaving to mourn with loving memories: his wife Nora of 55 years, who stood by his side and knew the true meaning of their marriage vows; daughter Agnes (Jake) and their children Ashley and Brittany, who were his two caring nurses that adored him; son Lloyd (Tracey) and their children Kara and Karley; son Kenny (Josie) and their son Riley; daughter Linda (Kenny) and their children Megan, Katie and Matthew; son Rodney (Shona) and their children Sean and Liam; daughter Bridie (Damian) and their children Luke and Ben; stepmother Lillian; brother Jim (Jill); two special aunts Madonna and Gert; as well as many nieces, nephews, and a large circle of friends.

The family would like to thank special friends Donna and Pad for their continuous support during this difficult time.  

Special thanks to the staff of the Placentia Lions Manor and Placentia Health Centre who assisted him in his final days, and great gratitude to his niece Darlene.  

Funeral arrangements entrusted to Maher's Funeral Home, Placentia.  Visitation to take place on Tuesday from 7pm to 9pm, and Wednesday from 2pm to 9pm. Mass of Christian Burial to take place 11am on Thursday, May 18th at Sacred Heart Church, Placentia, with interment to follow at Dermot McGettigan Memorial Cemetery, Southeast Placentia.  

Fred was an energetic man, who was full of life and had a love for Newfoundland music.  His family was his pride and joy, who meant everything to him, he was everyone's friend.  

Even though you have been lost the past couple of years, Dad, we know you have found your way home.
