Surrounded by his family and friends, William Houlihan, age 67 years, of Freshwater, passed away peacefully at the Health Sciences Centre, St. John’s. He will be fondly remembered and sadly missed by his large circle of family and friends.

Predeceased by his parents Eileen (Hunt) and William Houlihan and father in law John Barry. 

Leaving to mourn his devoted wife Genevieve (Barry), his loving daughters Angela (Marcus) and Susan (Steven), and his treasured granddaughters Leah, Lily, Emily, and Billie Rose. His sister Moira (Leonard), his mother in law Florence (Jones) Barry, and a large number of nieces and nephews, sisters and brothers in law, many other relatives, friends, and former students.

William will be forever remembered for his ability to enjoy the simple things in life, his devotion to his family, his passion for teaching and gardening, and his many musical talents.

Funeral arrangements entrusted to Maher’s Funeral Home, Placentia. Visitation will take place on Monday 7-9pm, Tuesday 2-5pm and 7-9pm. Funeral mass will take place Wednesday 10:30am at Holy Rosary Church, Freshwater.
