October 23, 1956 - August 8, 2019

It is with great sadness we announce the passing of our Dad, David Gerard Griffiths. He passed away at the Placentia Health Centre on Thursday, August 8, 2019. 

David is predeceased by his parents David and Clara Griffiths.

He leaves behind his three children Lesley (Todd), David (Nichole), and Allison; their mother Deborah; two precious grandchildren Saidey and Jake; sisters Anne, Martha (Tom), Madonna (Cyril), Mary Theresa, Judy (Larry), Cathy (Phonse), Jacintha, Clara (Darryl), Yvonne (Jeffrey), and Helen; one brother Patrick (Goldie); a number of nieces and nephews; and a large circle of friends.  

Dad was a wealth of knowledge and spent his life imparting that knowledge on those around him.  

In lieu of flowers a donation box will be made available to collect donations for new furniture for the Palliative Care room at Placentia Health Centre.  

Our deepest gratitude go to the doctors and nurses at Placentia Health Centre.  The care and compassion you gave Dad during his illness is appreciated beyond measure. 

Funeral arrangements entrusted to Maher's Funeral Home, Placentia.  Visitation to take place on Saturday from 7pm to 9pm and Sunday from 12pm to 9pm. Mass of Christian Burial to take place 10:30am on Monday, August 12th at St. Anne's Church, Dunville, followed by interment at Dermot McGettigan Memorial Cemetery, Southeast Placentia.
