Special thanks to the staff at the Placentia Health Centre, especially Dr. Zhara Shargi for going above and beyond, as well as his sister Connie Careen for being lovingly by his side.

Val was a devoted volunteer, dedicating 39 years to the Royal Canadian Legion and 37 years to the Placentia Fire Department.  He put everyone before himself, right to his last moments.  His presence, support and guidance will be dearly missed.
