Passed peacefully away on August 26, 2019 in Hamilton, Ontario, formerly of Dunville, Newfoundland.

Predeceased by his parents John and Julia (Glynn) Tobin, three brothers and six sisters.

Loving husband to Julia (Follett) for 65 years. Father to Tony, Leo, Brian, Ron (predeceased 2002), Mary (predeceased 2014), Ray (predeceased 2009), Betty, and their spouses. Grandfather to twelve grandchildren, great-grandfather to sixteen, and uncle to numerous nieces and nephews.

Special thanks to daughter, Betty (Wayne), for the continuous care, love and support afforded to Mom and Dad over the years.

Many thanks to Tony's caregivers at the Heritage Green Home in Hamilton for the exceptional care Dad received in the last year and for their continuing care of Julia.

Thanks as well, to Paul and Karen of Maher's Funeral Home for the ‘calls’ and for ensuring that Dad’s final wishes were all fulfilled.

Dad was truly a gifted storyteller who kept us all entertained with his limitless colorful stories and tales! We will miss him dearly. Love you forever.

Resting at Mahers Funeral Home in Placentia, NL. Visitation to take place on Friday, August 30 from 2pm to 5pm and 7pm to 9pm. Mass of Christian Burial to take place at Sacred Heart Church in Placentia, NL on Saturday, August 31 at 10:30am. Interment to follow at Dermot McGettigan Memorial Cemetery in Southeast Placentia.
