March 29, 1937 - November 6, 2019

Passed away as he lived with quiet dignity and honour, surrounded by his family.  

Predeceased by his mother Rita (nee Emberley) and his father Cornelius, his sister Madeline and her husband Ben McGrath, and his brother Cornelius ("Con"). 

Leaving to mourn his loss: sister Bertha Fitzgerald (Ned), brother Jim Traverse (Marie), sister Geraldine Traverse Mooney (Calvin Kerrivan), and sister-in-law Olive Traverse.  

Loved and respected by a huge host of nieces and nephews.  Also, will be remembered and missed by his co-workers at Argentia Naval Station, Jerseyside Post Office, Freshwater Post Office and the Sacred Heart Parish faith community.  

Funeral arrangements entrusted to Maher's Funeral Home, Placentia.  Visitation to take place on Thursday from 7pm to 9pm, and Friday from 2pm to 4pm & 7pm to 9pm.  Mass of Christian Burial to take place 10:30am on Saturday, November 9th at Sacred Heart Church, Placentia.  Interment to follow at Dermot McGettigan Memorial Cemetery, Southeast Placentia.
