August 4, 1923 - November 15, 2019

Passed peacefully away at St. Clare's Mercy Hospital, St. John's, on November 15, 2019, Patrick Joseph King, of Freshwater, formerly of Chapel Arm, at the age of 96.

Predeceased by his wife Monica, parents Ellen and John King, and brothers Jim, Tom, George, Phonse and Jeremiah. 

Leaving to mourn are his children Paddy, Linda (Derek Bell), Derm, and Cathy (Ben Caul); grandchildren Todd (Sharon), Dawn (Glen), Lawrence (Kaitlyn), and Jenna (Blair); great-grandchildren Kaleigh, Michael and Brooklyn; brother Bernard (Seline); sister-in-law Ann King; as well as a number of nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends, especially Johnny Judge and Ed Traverse.

Special thanks to the doctors, nurses and staff on 7 East at St. Clare's for their exemplary and compassionate care. Thank you to the staff at Hillcrest Estates in Mount Pearl for the wonderful care since June, 2018.

Funeral arrangements entrusted to Maher's Funeral Home, Placentia.  Visitation to take place on Saturday from 1pm to 8pm and Sunday from 12pm to 8pm.  Mass of Christian Burial to take place 2pm on Monday, November 18th at Holy Rosary Church, Freshwater.  Inurnment to take place at Holy Rosary Cemetery, Freshwater at a later date.

Flowers are gratefully accepted or donations in his memory to an animal charity of one's choice.
