May 17, 1955 – February 1, 2020

It is with great sadness that we the family of James Murphy announce his sudden passing on February 1, 2020.  A life taken much too soon.

Jim is predeceased by his parents Leonard and Madonna Murphy, brother Gerry, parents-in-law Patrick and Annie Sweeney, sister-in-law Eliza (Pad) Martin, brothers-in-law Joseph Whittle and Leonard (Selina) Sweeney.

Leaving to mourn his loving and devoted wife of 37 years, Linda, his daughter Pam, son Josh and fiancé Susan Sesk, who were his world.

Jim was also a big animal lover and leaves behind his beautiful fur babies Bella, Blossom, Benji, and grand fur baby Toby.

He will be sadly missed by his sister Barb (Ziggy), brothers Glenn (Irene) and Bob (Sherryll); sisters-in-law Mary (Billy) Barron, Hilda Whittle, and Anse (Peter); brothers-in-law Dan Sweeney, Ted (Marie) Sweeney, and Ronnie (Shirley) Sweeney; also a large number of nieces, nephews and friends, particularly his neighbour Charlie Power.

Funeral arrangements entrusted to Maher’s Funeral Home, Placentia.  Visitation to take place on Tuesday from 5pm to 9pm and Wednesday 2pm to 9pm.  Mass of Christian Burial to take place 10:30am on Thursday, February 6, 2020 at Sacred Heart Church, Placentia.  Interment to follow at Dermot McGettigan Memorial Cemetery, Southeast Placentia.
