It is with great love and sadness that the family of Shirley (Milley) Mercer of Dunville announces that she peacefully passed away on March 19, 2020, age 84. She was born on January 27, 1936 at Burnt Point to John and Clarice Milley.

Shirley was a precious wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother who dearly loved her family and was happiest when family gathered around her at home or at the trailer. She is survived by her loving husband of almost 65 years, Harvey; her daughters Marina (Carl) Pitcher and Beverly; her son Ron; her grandchildren Steven (Heather) and Adam (Stephanie) Pitcher, Michael (Bret), Matthew (Ashley), Amanda (Chase) and Katie (Travis) Mercer; her great grandchildren Alex, Abbie, Maddy and Theo Pitcher, Ayden, Parker, Lincoln, Wyatt, Dawson and Danny Mercer; her brother Jim (Sylvia) and sisters Lil (Don) Penney, Elsie Mills, Alma (Brian) Pawis, Nell Butt; in-laws Chris Milley, Marina Yetman, Randell Mercer, Sid & Phyllis Mercer, Ray & Angeline Mercer, Margaret & Leo Kent, Eldred Mercer, special friend Mary Pitcher, cousins, nieces & nephews and a large circle of other friends and relatives.

Shirley is predeceased by her baby girl triplets, brothers Don (and Jessie) and Jack Milley and sisters Olive (and Wesley) Whalen and Ann (and Eric) Shave.

Funeral arrangements entrusted to Maher’s Funeral Home, Placentia.  Visitation to take place on Thursday from 7pm to 9pm and Friday from 2pm to 4pm and 7pm to 9pm. Funeral service to take place 2pm on Saturday, March 21, 2020 at St. Martin's Anglican Church, Dunville.  Interment to follow at Dermot McGettigan Memorial Cemetery, Southeast Placentia.
