It is with great sadness, we announce the passing of our mother Alana Marie Penney, age 49 years, on Wednesday August 19, 2020. 

 

Predeceased by her grandparents Hannah and Fergus Penney; Kristy and John Young.

 

Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories are her sons Kyle (Allison) and Jordan; her precious grandchildren Sophie and Patrick; loving parents Billy and Annie Penney; brothers Wayne and Junior; nephews James and Griffin; large circle of aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Special thank you to her aunt Mary McGrath and cousins Dana McGrath and Leona Lundrigan for their loving support during this difficult time.

 

Alana was a devoted daughter, sister, mother and grandmother who dedicated her daily life to her family. She was a strong and independent lady who was passionate about her family and friends, especially her sweet princess Sophie and her little prince Patrick who will dearly miss her cuddles and kisses. 

 

The family wishes to thank the doctors, nurses and  staff on the Palliative Care Unit at the Dr. L.A. Miller Centre who treated Alana with dignity and respect during her courageous battle.

 

Funeral arrangements entrusted to Maher’s Funeral Home, Placentia. Due to the ongoing COVID-19 Public Health Emergency, a private Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Saturday, August 22, 2020. Please sign the online guestbook to offer your condolences at this time.
