Grant MacDonald, Calgary, AB

Born September 19, 1980, Grant was a son, father, husband, brother and uncle.

It is with heavy hearts we announce the sudden passing of our son on March 27, 2020.

Predeceased by his grandfather James Follett, grandparents Louise and Ralph MacDonald (Sydney, NS), and his uncle Larry Follett.

Left to mourn are his wife Stephanie and their two sons Aiden and Ben, who were his life; his mother Joan Sandell (Follett) and Bill Sandell; Bob Hooton, the man who raised him from a young age and was Dad to him; his sister Tonda MacDonald, whom he protected and guided always; his brothers Jarrodd Hooton and Brydan Hooton whom he loved dearly; his grandmother Genevieve Follett; his father Bill MacDonald; numerous aunts, uncles, nieces and cousins who he enjoyed spending time with when visiting; mother and father-in-law Barry and Jean Bohn; his buddy Wes Raber and numerous friends whose lives he influenced as they did his.

He left nobody out, never turned anyone away.  Human compassion for everyone. Grant loved camping and four-wheeling in the mud with his family and friends.  Taking the boys to football games or watching them play soccer was what he loved most in life.  He will be forever missed by all whose lives he touched and those who touched his life.
