August 17, 1940 - November 28, 2020

Passed away peacefully after a short illness on November 28, 2020 at the age of 80.

Predeceased by her loving, devoted husband Bill, daughter Christina (Tina) Collins, her parents, James and Julia Butler; sisters Mary (Bernard) Brazil, Alice (Stan) Carrol, Beth Murphy.

Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories, daughter Bonita (Dexter); sons Billy (Claudia), Jamie (Darlene); son-in-law Leo; her grandchildren and her pride and joy, Patrick (Lindsay), Richard (Adam), Nicole, William, Hillary, and Robyn; great-grandchildren Brady, Blake, Abigail, Jenna and Owen; sister Helen Pitts; brothers-in-law Dave (Heather) and Dan Murphy; and sister-in-law Mary Somerton. Also leaving to mourn many nieces and nephews and a large circle of family and friends, her home care workers Lisa and Gerri Anne, as well as her special furry friend "Clippers" the cat.

Funeral arrangements entrusted to Maher's Funeral Home, Placentia.  Visitation to take place on Monday from 2pm to 4pm and 7pm to 9pm.  

Due to the ongoing COVID-19 Public Health Emergency, visitation is permitted with restrictions. The maximum number of people permitted in the visitation room at one time is 20 people. All visitors must sign in and sign out for contact tracing purposes, and masks must be worn at all times.  Hand sanitizer will be provided and is to be used upon entering and exiting the building.  Please visit www.mahersfuneralhome.ca for additional information regarding COVID-19 restrictions. 

Mass of Christian Burial to take place 1pm on Tuesday, December 1, 2020 at St. Anne's Church, Dunville. Interment to follow at Dermot McGettigan Memorial Cemetery, Southeast Placentia.
