With heavy hearts the family of Martin Griffiths of Ship Harbour announce his passing on February 18, 2021 at the age of 69.  He was a Veteran of the Canadian Armed Forces, a member of The Order of Canada, a recipient of The Star of Courage, The Queen's Jubilee and two Medals of Service.

 
Predeceased by his parents, Anthony & Margaret Griffiths, his brother Kevin, nephews Matthew Griffin and Rodney Griffiths, brother-in-law Maruice Spurvey and parents-in-law William & Mary Follett.
 
Left to mourn with loving and cherished memories are his wife Priscilla of 45 years; his four children Dawn (Duane), Wendy, Anthony (Adelle), Valerie (Josh); his precious grandchildren Evan, Emma, Kacey, Mya and Luke.  
 
Also leaving to mourn are his brothers and sisters, Matilda (Jim), Mary (Herb), Anthony (Violet), Bridget (Ned), Anslem (Ann), Cyril (Madonna), Adrian (Breda), Daniel (Tilly), Ambrose (Mary), Marion (Albert), Alphonsus (Kathy), Pauline (Brian), Linda (Carl), Wayne (Danah) and sister-in-law Helen.
 
Special thanks to Dr. Power, Dr. Alfiya and the nurses at the Placentia Hospital as well as the Doctor's and nurses at the Dr. H. Bliss Cancer Centre for their care during dad's illness.  We would also like to thank everyone who helped in anyway over the past few months, especially Elsie Griffiths. Your love and compassion means the world to us!
 
Funeral arrangements are entrusted to Maher's Funeral Home, Placentia.

Cremation has taken place.

Funeral service will take place at a later date.
