It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our loving mother, Ellen Mooney, age 93.

Predeceased by our dad Arnold, her parents Edmund and Ethel Power, son Brian, grandson Michael Dohey and sons-in-law Peter McCarthy and Maurice Whiffen, brothers Nicholas and Edmund and sister-in-law, Kay.

Leaving to mourn her loving sister and best friend Hannah McGrath, her children Edwina (Mike Dohey), Gen, Arnold (Rita), Kevin (Colleen), Hannah, Alfrieda (Howard Costello), Ellen and Ethel, Craig (Marla), 24 grandchildren, 30 great grandchildren, daughter-in-law Elizabeth Mooney-Kennedy, her extended family and friends, especially Denis and Annie Nash and Mrs. Sadie of Branch, Marjorie Harris and friends of Collingwood Downs.

A very special thank you to the staff at Collingwood Downs and Carbonear General Hospital for their kindness and compassion towards Mom.

Due to COVID-19 restrictions, cremation has taken place, visitation and burial Mass will be held at a later date in Branch at Holy Rosary Church.
