January 11, 1943 - February 28, 2021

It is with heavy hearts, that we announce the passing of our beautiful, loving mother, Ruby Newhook, of Dunville (formerly of Green’s Harbour), after a brief, but, courageous battle with cancer, on February 28, 2021, at the age of 78.

Leaving to mourn, her four children, Darrell (Christina), Darren (Francine), Daunel (Peter) and Danine (Rob). Her grandchildren; Shannon, Brandon, Christopher, Alicia, Emily, Jonathon, Brady, Isabella, Darren, Brendalee, Natasha, Peter, Robyn and Daniel, great-grand children; Chantal, Cameron, MacKenzie, Harper, Odin and Gracie. Also, leaving to mourn, her brothers Henry (Edna), Calvin (Betty) and sister Cora (Harry) and a large circle of family and friends.

A very special thank you to Mom’s home support workers, Michelle and Jane, who went above and beyond their duties to provide Mom with love and care. We would also like to acknowledge the great care and compassion provided to our Mom by all of the staff of the Placentia Health Center during her last days.

Funeral arrangements entrusted to Maher's Funeral Home, Placentia.  Cremation has taken place. Burial and celebration of Mom’s life will take place in Green’s Harbour at a later date.
