July 19, 1946 - April 22, 2021

Passed peacefully away at Placentia Health Centre on April 22, 2021, Sylvia Meade (Greene) at the age of 74, originally from Pt. Verde, Placentia. 

Sylvia was a person who spoke her mind but she had a heart of gold.  She was a great wife, loving mother, grandmother, sister and a true friend. 

Predeceased by her parents Reginald and Regina Greene, her nephew Owen Greene and her parents-in-law Robert and Lucy Meade. 

Leaving to mourn her loving husband of 54 years Adrian and her three sons Bobby (Shauna), Glenn (Rae Lynn) and Corey (Janine); her grandchildren Christian, Thandem, Jessica, Raegan, Logan, Adrian, Adaleigh, Ava, Riley and Reese; as well as special family friends Natalie Briand and Janice Wilson.  

Also left to mourn are four sisters Jean Ann O'Keefe (Vince), Linda Hapgood (Bob), Rose Vallis (Howard deceased), and Shirley Biggin (Barry); and five brothers Harry (Eva deceased), Matt (Sylvia), Reg, Albert (Sharon), and Brendan (Kathy).

She will be lovingly remembered by the Meade family: Jack (Patricia), Gordon (Rose Marie), Eddie, Bob (Jane), sister-in-law Philomena, and brothers-in-law Wayne Searle, George Wiscombe and Peter Kelly; and also many nieces and nephews. 

Cremation has taken place.  Visitation will be Sunday, April 25, 2020 at Maher's Funeral Home from 2pm-4pm and 7pm-9pm. 

Due to Covid, a private family service will take place on Monday, April 26, 2021.  Inurnment to follow at Dermot McGettian Memorial Cemetery, Southeast Placentia.
