It is with heavy hearts that the family of the late Stanley
McFatridge age 89, announce his passing on June 26th 2021 at the
Placentia Health Centre.
Predeceased by his
parents John and Florence McFatridge; brothers Charles, Claude and
sister Vera. Son-in -law Dermot Murphy and members of the Rubia
Family.
Leaving to mourn his loving wife of 66 years Winnie (nee
Rubia); daughters Shirley (Matthew Griffin), Judy, Joyce (Hilary
Griffin), Wendy. Sons Craig and Sheldon. Connie mother of Cecilia and
John. Also leaving to mourn is his sister Shelly and brothers Garfield
and Ashton.
His beloved grandchildren Jason, Jeff, Amanda, Ronald,
Danika, Nicole, Cecilia, John. Great grandchildren Owen, Jacob, Evan,
Kaisey and Lily. All who loved to see coming for visits. Also, a large
circle of nieces and nephews.
Dad worked with McNamara Construction for 50+ years. In his
spare time he enjoyed trouting and rabbit hunting.
When he retired he enjoyed going to and looking after the "Little
Church" St. Luke’s Anglican Church in Placentia. He
loved going for his walks and chatting with family and
friends.
The family would like to thank the nurses and staff of
Carbonear General Hospital, St. Claire’s Mercy Hospital, and
Placentia Health Centre for all the special care and
compassion.
Funeral arrangements entrusted to Maher's Funeral Home,
Placentia. Visitation will take place at Maher’s Funeral
Home on Tuesday June 29th, 2-9pm. Anyone planning
to attend the funeral service on Wednesday 10:30pm please contact
