Michael Anthony (Tony) Kelly
With heavy hearts we announce the peaceful passing of Tony in
his 80th year on July 8 surrounded in love at the Placentia
Hospital.
Predeceased by parents Richard and Rose (Griffin), brothers
Gerald (Betty), William (Belle), Edmund and sister,
Nellie.
Leaving to mourn his devoted wife of 55 years Lucy (nee
Hartley), children Colleen, Sean (Cheryl), Charlie (Shawna), Andrew
(Cheryl), his grandchildren Michael, Emily, Jake, Emma, Brady,
Brooklyn, Gabriella and Olivia. Also leaving to mourn his Brother Ron
(Nora), sisters Harriet Farrell and Theresa (Bob), sister-in-law Mary,
the entire Hartley family who loved him as their brother and a large
circle of nieces and nephews.
He worked at the Argentia Naval Base for 42 years and then
Lions Manor until his retirement in 2005. Tony was Grand Knight of St
Anne’s Council #6494. He lived his life in faithful purpose
with a smile for all & a kind and loving heart.
His family would like to thank all those who cared for him at
the Bliss Murphy Centre, Dr Rourke & all the care team and the
staff at Placentia Health Centre whose attention to him was provided
with such care.
Funeral arrangements entrusted to Maher’s funeral
home. Visitation on Sunday, July 11 from 2 p.m. - 9 p.m. and rite of
Christian burial on Monday at 2pm at Sacred Heart Church,
Placentia.
Due to Covid restrictions we invite anyone wishing to attend
to contact the family or funeral home on Sunday.
