Passed away in the presence of her family, Jennie Follett, aged 88 years.

Pre-deceased by her loving husband Jim; son Larry; Grandson Grant; her parents Thomas and Johanna Ryan; Parents in-law Lawerence and Annie Follett; Brother Willie Ryan; Sister Stella Follett; Brothers-in-law John Follett and Gordon Lannon, Duck Snow, and Bill Best; Sister-in-law Carol Ann Ryan; Daughter-in-law Jackie Ryan.

Leaving to mourn her children David (Janice), Barb, Judy (Tony), Janeth, Tommy (Penny), Joan (Bill), Yvonne (John), Sharon (Mike), Dale (Annette), and Jerry (Linda). Her grandchildren Deanna, Bradley, Kim, Lynnette, Cora, Melissa, Angelina, Krista, Dana, Cindy, Eden, Tonda, Jarrodd, Brydan, Jennifer, Heather, Jillian, Genna Lee, Ryan, Ethan, Maggie, and Grace; 15 great grandchildren; her Brothers and Sisters Annie Best, Mary Lannon, Martin Ryan (Hannah), Tom (Jean), Vince, Theresa Barry (Jim), Julia Gambin (Leo), Gerald, Bernadette Best (Kevin), Elaine (Tony) Best; Sisters-in-law Irene Ryan, Mary Snow and Cecily KcKeigan (Charlie). 

Also leaving to mourn a large circle of nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.

Special thank you to her caregivers Ellen Miller, Jade Collins, Paula Murphy, Bonnie Mulrooney, Debbie Short, and Miranda Traverse. Thank you to Dr. Rockel for his care and compassion. 

Funeral arrangements entrusted to Maher's Funeral Home, Placentia. Visitation to take place on Wednesday, October 20, from 7 p.m. - 9 p.m and Thursday, October 21, from 2 p.m. - 9 p.m. Visitation will also take place on Friday at 11 a.m. Funeral to take place Friday, October 22, at 2 p.m.

On behalf of the Follett and Ryan families, we wish to express our thanks for everything and every act of kindness that was shown to us during our most difficult time with our Mom’s passing.

Special thanks to all the health care professionals who helped in any way.  It won’t be forgotten.

Special thanks to the continued care extended to Mom by her home care workers, who acted over and beyond, and were there to tend to her every need.

Special thanks to all, grandchildren in particular, who stayed with her throughout the long nights to keep her company and be with her to the end.

Special thanks to all who participated and saw to a wonderful mass and tribute –Father Charlie for such kind, true, and meaningful words, readers, music, and all who took part at the service and the grave side.

Special thanks to the Star of the Sea Ladies Auxiliary – Honour Guard and for the beautiful lunch provided after the service.  It was so appreciated and helped our family so much.

Special thanks to the Parish Bereavement Team for their prayers, visits, and at the funeral home.  Mom would have nothing but praise and thanks for your thoughts and prayers.

Special thanks to Maher’s Funeral Home – Paul Maher and William Neville for their professionalism, attention to detail and dedication to Mom’s final wishes, that were absolute and much appreciated.

Special thanks to all the friends who sent wishes, visits, food, flowers, calls, mass cards, and messages. While we can’t thank individually please know we absolutely acknowledge and appreciate it. 

Thank you as well to her brothers and sisters who will miss her and loved her immensely. 

Finally, a special thank you to all who travelled and set messages, thoughts, etc. to be with us during this time, and a special thank you to Gene Follett who delivered a beautiful tribute to Mom, as well as Bernadette Power and Jarrod Hooton whose kind words will never be forgotten.
