With deep sadness, the family of Donald Coffey announce his peaceful passing at the Placentia Health Centre on December 30, 2021, at age 77.

Predeceased by wife Theresa and parents Maurice and Loretta.

Leaving to mourn, with fond memories, brother Joe (Imelda); sister Lucy (Garry); brother and sisters-in-law; and a large circle of nieces and nephews.

Also, greatly mourning his loss as his Uncle Harold Coffey, Aunts Bride O'Rourke and Annie Careen and many cousins and extended family.

In recent years, Donald enjoyed his chats on "the bank" during fishing season and helping out Chris in the garage.  He wasn't happy until he got his hands dirty.  Donald was loved and respected by many people in our community and surrounding areas, and he often spoke of the kindness he experienced from many during his illness.  Every act of kindness didn't go unnoticed and was appreciated by Donald and his family.

We would like to extend warm thanks to the nursing staff of Placentia Health Centre for their loving care.

Funeral arrangements entrusted to Maher's Funeral Home, Placentia. Funeral Service to take place 11:00am on Monday, January 3, 2022 at Sacred Heart Church, St. Bride's.  Public Health guidelines will be in place, including a maximum of 50 people permitted in the church.

There will be no visitation due to the current Public Health Emergency.  Inurnment to follow the Funeral Service, and will take place at St. Patrick's Cemetery in Patrick's Cove.

No flowers, by request.
