Passed away suddenly at his home on Point Verde Road on Tuesday, January 4, 2022, in his 74th year.  

Predeceased by his parents Patrick and Annie Sweeney; brothers Leonard (Selina), Patrick, Patrick Aloysius and William James; sister Eliza Martin (Patrick); and son-in-law Mike Shannahan. 

Leaving to mourn with beautiful and loving memories, his daughters Tina Rogers (Pat) and Kim Sweeney (Kurtis McKay); grandchildren Brent Shannahan, Ryan Shannahan (Kyle Marshall), Alyssa Hueser (Grant Pelley), Justin Hueser (Kaylyn Johnston), and Chris Hueser, and their father Allen; and great-grandchildren Preston, Brookelyn, Paige, Taylor, Lukas, Erin and Emily; his brothers and sisters Mary Jo (Billy Barron), Ted (Marie), Hilda (Joe Whittle, deceased), Anse (Peter Power), Ronnie (Shirley) and Linda (Jim Murphy, deceased); as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends. 

Funeral arrangements entrusted to Maher's Funeral Home, Placentia.  Due to the ongoing COVID-19 Public Health Emergency, a private family viewing and funeral service will take place.
