Bob Murphy

March 30, 1943 - March 26, 2022

 

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our father, grandfather, brother, and friend, Bob Murphy. On March 26, a few days before his 79th birthday,

 

Bob left this world to join his beloved wife Dolly, parents Tom and Violet Murphy, and brother Tommy (Tucker).

 

Bob is survived by his three children Colette (Steve), Bobby (Leigh), and Derm (Tristan). Also left to mourn are his four sisters Kay (Harry), Shirley, Maureen (Gary), and Dot. He is also survived by his five wonderful grandchildren Ryan, Sarah, Madeleine, Beckett, and Shea, all of whom he loved dearly.

 

Bob loved watching sports, especially hockey and baseball. He was an avid fan of the Toronto Blue Jays, and was ecstatic when they won the World Series back-to-back in 1992 and 1993. He was an artistic soul and had an amazing ability with numbers, both of which were passed along to his children. 

 

Bob had a cheeky and impish nature, and loved a good debate. Quick witted and sharp tongued, he always had a soft heart and felt love for everyone. 

 

A celebration of his life will be held at Maher’s Funeral Home, Placentia on Saturday, April 9, 2022 from noon to 4pm. Inurnment to follow at Holy Rosary Cemetery, Freshwater.
