A Mother's love is a blessing. And to say we were blessed was an understatement. It is with profound heartache and the utmost sadness that we announce the passing of a devoted Wife, Cherished Mother, Mother-in-Law, Grandmother, Great-Grandmother, Sister and friend.

Pre-deceased by her parents Thomas and Margret Ward; Brothers Anthony (Sandra), Isadore (Theresa - also deceased), and Leonard (Bertha); Sister Eileen  Jankowski (Doug); special daughter-in-law, Donna Pittman; Parents-in-law Lillian and William Brewer; Brothers-in-law Martin (Theresa- also deceased), Joseph (Joyce- Also Deceased), and Wish (Muriel).

Mary leaves behind her husband Kevin of 52 years; her children Damian (Donna - deceased), Shellie (John Taylor), and Rhonda (Ambrose Griffiths); 6 grandchildren - Austin, Meghan, Kevin Ashley, Chloe and Kian; 3 great-grandchildren - Ethan, John Patrick, and Remy; brothers John (Rita), Peter (Lucy), and Tom (Joanne); brother-in-Law Peter Brewer (Ann), Willie (Wanda), sisters-in-law Rose (Jack Guthrie - deceased) and Jane Marshall (Sam); as well as numerous nieces and nephews, especially the Bight crowd; and she was blessed herself with some of the best friends anyone could ask for - far too many to mention.

Mary loved to quilt, sew, and knit - you name it, she done it and was an extreme perfectionist, although she never gave herself any credit and was her own biggest critic. In later years, she would gift her quilts to family members as some sort of thank you in return for some kind gesture they had done for herself or Dad. If you got a quilt from May Brewer - consider yourself lucky. Cherish it.

Thank you to the nurses at the ICU 7th Floor at Carbonear General Hospital for the Compassion they showed not only to mom but to all of us during this most difficult time in our lives. Especially Caroline, Heidi, Jennifer, and Katie.

Resting at Maher's Funeral Home on Wednesday, April 27, from 10-am-12pm for family only, 2pm-4pm and 7pm-9pm; and Thursday 2pm-9pm. Mass of Christian Burial to take place at Most Holy Rosary Church Freshwater on Friday, April 29 at 10:30am. Interment to follow at Dermot McGettigan Memorial Cemetary, South East Placentia.

Good night, God bless, loves ya, bye.
Mary Margaret Brewer (nee Ward)
