June 6, 1956 to July 4, 2022

Passed away at the early age of 66 at the Placentia Healthcare Centre.

It is with great sadness we announce the passing of our beloved Mother, Grandmother, Sister, Aunt and friend.

Leaving to mourn, are her children, whom she was ever so proud of, Aloysuis (Krystal), Kerrilynn (Len), Angela (Fraser), Kevin (Michelle); her grandchildren, whom she loved so dearly, Marissa (Cody), Michael, Alex, Mackenzie, Gracelynn and Savannah; her siblings, Junior (Judy), Tina (John), Jackie, Debbie (Alley), and Lar; brothers-in-law Louvern, Russell, Boyd, Neil (Cathy), and Johnny (Maggie); sisters-in-law Eve (Cletus), Joan (Cliff), Jackie (Freddy), Ellie (Ross), Jenny, Gertie (Larry), Mercedes, Vera, Pauline (Jose), and Christine; also, her very special friend Francis and a large circle of nieces, nephews and friends.

Predeceased by her loving husband Aloysuis, mother Angela, father Francis and son Michael, mother-in-law Joan and father-in-law John, sisters Rita, Vicky, Sharon (Ken), Eita, Fatima, brothers, James & Pat, brothers-in-law, Dick, Dave, Gordon, Ern, Anthony (Bridget) and Ches.

Aurelia, our mother, had the kindest soul, was always there to lend a hand! She spent her life caring for her children, all while being a loving and patient wife to the life of a fisherman. When that part of her life’s work was completed, she continued to work as a care attendant at Beachside Manor where she was loved by all the residents and staff, again putting the needs of everyone else before her own. She could make some of the best homemade bread around. She was never one to let you see her sorrows or pain, nor would she ever say no when help was requested.

There are no words that can describe the outstanding women she was. The loving, caring, compassionate, hardworking, funny, lovable shining star, she could be put on a pedestal and it wouldn’t be high enough.

She will be missed by so many, especially her family!

A special thanks to the healthcare team at Placentia Healthcare Center whom helped her last days be as comfortable as they could be. Your hard work and dedication to the patients does not go unnoticed. Our family is grateful for all the support you provided during her final stay.

Funeral arrangements entrusted to Maher's Funeral Home, Placentia.  Visitation to take place on Friday from 7pm to 9pm, and Saturday from 1pm to 9pm.  Funeral Service to take place 3pm on Sunday, July 10th at Sacred Heart Church, Fox Harbour.  Inurnment to follow at Fox Harbour Cemetery.
