It is with broken hearts that we announce the peaceful
passing of our forever loved husband, father and grandfather, Raymond
Alonzo Hefford Jr. Age 67 years.
Predeceased by his parents Raymond Sr.
and Cynthia Hefford, baby sister, brother in law Frankie Bavis, father
in law Joseph Bavis Sr, and niece Stephanie
Bavis.
Leaving to mourn his loss with the
fondest memories, one day short of their 43rd wedding anniversary, his
wife and best friend Christina (Bavis); his daughter Jessica, whose
bond was none other but the perfect version of a father/daughter
relationship; his pure pride and joy, his grandson Jared Raymond
(Picco); his fur buddy Gia; brothers Doug (Shirley), Don (Karen),
Jerry (Lynn), and Ross (Leanne); and sister Elizabeth
(Noel).
Also mourning his loss, the Bavis
family: Mother-in-law Bernadette; his brothers-in-law Paddy
(Sharon), Maurice (Daphne), Nick (Marilyn), John (Linda), Joe
(Dianne), and Gerard (Deanne); and sister-in-law Joyce
(John); along with nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and
friends.
Ray had a smile for everyone and was
loved dearly by all that knew him. He found great pleasure in his
cabin, his boat and his guitar group, but most importantly his
favourite thing to do was follow Jared as his number one fan in
whatever sport he was playing.
A special thanks to the nursing staff
at St. Clare’s, 6th floor east, for their care and
compassion during each stay from February until now, and to Dr.
Janelle Taylor, a pure angel, are the only words to describe
her.
