May 17, 1957 - February
3, 2023
Our kind, beautiful, generous mother Brenda King has left us
with many tears and broken hearts as she suddenly passed on February
3, 2023.
Her natural warmth and giving personality made her loved
immensely by her family and a vast circle of friends. Mom loved her
time with friends, from fishing with her dear friend Margie, to
enjoying a chat with her close friend Lisa on a shopping excursion to
Carbonear. But her true enjoyment in life was spending time with her
six grandchildren. Her pride and joy! They are blessed to have her
love and to call her "Grandma".
Mom loved her time sitting in cold rinks watching Jack, Reed,
Will, Ben and Claire play hockey, to watching on the side lines at a
basketball game watching Sarah. Whether she was at a baseball field, a
school concert, or a beach vacation, Grandma never missed a moment.
Mom was "Grandma" to everyone. Her heart was most full when
her home was full of family and friends. She welcomed everyone into
her home and made sure they left with a full belly. She always put
everyone before herself, that was the kind of person she
was.
Leaving to mourn and cherish every memory are her three
children, Heather (Carson), Dawn (Derek), and Charlie (Allison) and
her pride and joy Jack, Reed, Will, Ben, Sarah, and Claire; her loving
mother Evelyn King; all her close siblings, Vicky, Wally (Kay),
Kenneth (Marion), Barbra-Ann (Gus), Carol-Ann (Pete) and John King
(Bev); as well as all of her neices and nephews to who she was known
as "Bim."
Predeceased by her father John King and beloved
brother-in-law Llyod Pond.
Everyone that knows mom, loves her. She has a heart of gold
and will be missed every day.
Resting at Maher’s Funeral Home, Placentia.
Visitation to take place on Sunday from 2pm to 9pm and Monday starting
at 11am. Funeral Service to take place at Maher's Funeral Home on
Monday, February 6th at 1:30pm. Cremation to follow with burial at a
later date.
"Mother" is such a simple word, but to us
there’s meaning seldom heard. For everything we are today,
our mother’s love showed us the way.
Forever in our hearts.
