It is with great sadness that the family of Geraldine Maher announce her peaceful passing in the comfort of her own home on April 7, 2024.

Predeceased by her parents Francis and Mary Maher; sisters Evelyn Maher and Sr. Patricia Maher; brothers Gregory Maher and Frank Maher; sisters-in-law Gloria Maher and Patsy O’Keefe; and brother-in-law Raymond Hickey.

Left with fond and loving memories her sisters Ann Hickey, Winnie Hickey, and Mary (Gordon) Stahl; brothers Tom (Kathleen), Adrian (Liz), Gerard (Helen) and John (Ce-Ann); brother-in-law Charlie Power; good friends Agnes Power, Lucy Carroll, Josephine Hickey, and Evelyn Lundrigan; also, a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

Geraldine was a Special Ed and Kindergarten teacher at Holy Rosary School, Freshwater. She thoroughly enjoyed being surrounded by her large family and reminiscing about old times, at family gatherings, especially remembering her beloved Mom and ‘Da’.

Funeral arrangements entrusted to Maher’s Funeral Home, Placentia. Visitation to take place on Thursday from 7pm to 9pm, and Friday from 2pm to 4pm & 6pm to 8pm.  Mass of Christian Burial to take place 1pm on Saturday, April 13th at St. Anne's Church in Dunville.  Inurnment to follow at Dermot McGettigan Memorial Cemetery, Southeast Placentia.
