With great sadness we announce the loss of Alfred George
Fillier of Southeast Placentia, Newfoundland, who was born on
June 3, 1954, in North River, Newfoundland and passed away on June 27,
2024, at the age of 70 years.
Family was the most important thing to Alfred. He loved to
spend every moment he could with them no matter what it was. He loved
his family so much that he always put them first before himself. He
was not only an amazing dad and husband, but also an amazing person
with a heart of gold. He will be greatly missed by all and will never
be forgotten.
Alfred is survived by his wife of 50 years, Anita Fillier
(Barron). Children; Kenneth (Angela), Keith, Karen (Tim), Shawn and
Amber. Ten grandchildren; Kaitlynn, Dylan, Connor, Carter, Zach,
Ethan, Kobe, Kaia, Cameron, and Logan. Siblings; Abe (Darlene), Wayne,
Harris (Diane), Cliff (Debbie), Richard (Sheila), Davey
(Nancy), Lorraine (Matt).
Predeceased by his parents; Louise and Richard Fillier.
Mother and father-in-law; Bride and Lawrence Barron. Sister in Laws;
Maureen Fillier and Linda Barron. Special thank you to Verna Lauria
for the support and caring help you gave during a very difficult time
as well as the staff at Carbonear and Placentia
Hospital.
Arrangements entrusted to Maher's Funeral Home,
Placentia. A graveside service will be held at Dermot
McGettigan Memorial Cemetery, date and time to be
announced.
