With heartfelt sadness, we announce the passing of our
beloved mother, wife, sister and daughter, Darlene
"Dar" Collins-Brewer.
Predeceased by her father, Peter
Collins.
Leaving to mourn, her devoted husband of 26 years, Bob;
children, Jessica, Heather (Brad) and Brandon (Samantha); and two
grandchildren, Jacob and Benton, who were the absolute light of her
life. Also leaving her Mother, Isabel Collins, five older brothers and
an extended family of cousins and friends.
To know Dar was to love her. She wanted nothing more than a
good tune, a cold beer (frozen, at that) and a laugh! She always
looked forward to spending Sunday with her brother Peter, listening to
their favourite songs on bust and raising a
glass.
She was nothing short of an amazing mother and wife. Always
making sure her kids and husband had everything they could possibly
need and were loved to no end. Consistently putting them before
herself. She would move mountains for her grandsons and never hesitate
to do so.
Thank you to the nursing staff at Carbonear Hospital who went
above and beyond their call of duty for Dar over the past few months.
Your kindness and compassion will never be
forgotten.
We will miss her dearly.
