In
Loving Memory of John McCrowe
It is with profound sadness that the
family of John McCrowe announce his unexpected passing on October 17,
2025.
John was predeceased by his beloved
parents Veronica and Maurice McCrowe, his brother Gerard McCrowe,
parents-in-law Robert and Dora Woodman, and sister-in-law Lorraine
Hennifent.
He leaves behind a legacy of love and
devotion, mourned deeply by his cherished wife of over 50 years,
Marilyn, and their children: Vanessa Croucher (Trevor), Johnny McCrowe
(Kelly), and Kristen Benson (Matt). John was a proud grandfather to
Hunter and Julie, who brought him immense joy. Also grieving his loss
are his sisters Mary Harkaway (Mike) and Alice Kennedy (Myron), niece
Sandy Power (Andrew), Chris & Mark Mccrowe. And the Woodman
family, along with many other relatives and friends whose lives he
touched.
John was a hardworking man who took
great pride in everything he did. He truly loved to work, and for the
past 20 years, he found joy and purpose working side by side with his
best buddy—his son.
His strong work ethic and dedication
were matched only by his love for his family and the simple joys in
life. He found peace casting a line for salmon and spent countless
happy days at his cabin, surrounded by nature and tranquility. A loyal
fan of the Toronto Blue Jays and Toronto Maple Leafs, John never
missed a chance to cheer on his teams.
The family would like to extend
heartfelt thanks to the staff at Placentia Hospital Dr. Kadham, Dr.
Power and St. Clare’s, Dr. Harrington, Nurse Cindy, and
respiratory therapists Kim and Heidi, for their compassionate care and
support.
Visitation will take place at Maher's
Funeral Home, Placentia on Sunday, October 19th from 11:00am to
1:00pm. A private burial with family only will take place at
Mount Carmel Cemetery, Placentia.
John will be remembered for his
warmth, quiet strength, and unwavering love for his family. His memory
will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.
