Passed peacefully away at Lions Manor Nursing Home, Placentia on Sunday, May 30, 2026, Vince Power, aged 72 years.  He was surrounded by his loving family - his wife Bernie, son Dale, grandson Zachary, and brother Paul.

He is survived by his brothers and sisters of the Power family, as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Predeceased by his parents Augustine and Kathleen (nee Leonard) Power, and parents-in-law John and Nora Coffey.

Vince was born July 9, 1953 in Isle Aux Valen, his roots which he cherished. He spent most of his life in Placentia, working a long career in service, raising a family, and enjoying life’s special moments. While he took great pride in all he accomplished at home, at work, and at his cabin, there was nothing more special to him than being a grandfather.  This brought him much light, joy and peace.

Vince’s demeanor and kindness shined through into his work.  He always showed great respect while driving the oil truck and hauling the oil hose, keeping many people in our communities warm and comfortable for 53 years!  He never turned away a person, a family, or a business in need.

Special thanks to the staff at the Placentia Health Centre and Lions Manor Nursing Home Unit 3.  Also thank you to Dr. Rob Power who has been there for us during Vince’s final journey home. 

Funeral arrangements entrusted to Maher's Funeral Home, Placentia.  Visitation to take place on Monday, June 1st from 2:00pm - 5:00pm & 7:00pm - 9:00pm.  Funeral Service to take place on Tuesday, June 2nd at 11:00am at Maher's Funeral Home, followed by interment at Dermot McGettigan Memorial Cemetery, Southeast Placentia.
