Barbara
Norman
May 9, 1929 - May 31,
2026
We are all so heartbroken
to say good-bye to our Nanny Barbara. A great lady who lived
97 years, loved and adored by all who knew her.
Predeceased by husband Jordan, sons Douglas (Hedy), Allan,
Albert (Jane), infant daughter Cynthia and other members of the Reid
and Norman families.
Leaving to mourn with precious memories are sons Jim (Carol)
and Barry (Cynthia), daughter Sarah (Wayne), daughter-in-law Betty;
sisters Gloria and Edith; brother-in-law Issac; grandchildren Melanie
(Kris), Jennifer (Lori), Catherine (Mark), Albert (Leslie), Stephen,
Suzanne (Nick), Becka (Johnnie), Jordan (Zara), Kyler (Janelle), Jacob
(Aimee), Pat (Amanda), Mitchell (Kayla), and Andrea (Ray); 19
great-grandchildren who considered her their playmate; as well as a
wide circle of other family members and dear friends.
She loved her family and friends dearly, her faith in God
gave her the greatest comfort. Well known for her talents in
the kitchen, but later in life the slippers she gifted made her so
happy, as she boasted to many people that they have travelled all over
the world.
This dear kind lady will be truly missed by family, friends,
and anybody that was lucky enough to have spent time with
her.
Many thanks to our dear friends who have always been there
for her, especially these past few weeks. A big thank you to all the
staff of the Placentia Hospital who truly went above and
beyond. Also we are so grateful to the staff and residents
at Beachside Manor, who cared so lovingly for Nanny Barbara this last
year.
