Justine
Bradbury
June 11, 1990
- June 10, 2026
Passed away peacefully in the loving arms of her mother, at
Carbonear General Hospital on Wednesday, June 10, 2026, Justine
Bradbury, of Freshwater Placentia Bay.
Justine was predeceased by her grandparents Josephine and
John Caul, step-father Ray Connors, aunt Ethel Flynner, uncle John
Caul, and father Kevin Bradbury.
Leaving to mourn are her mother Dorenia Caul, brothers
Christopher and Robert, niece Melody, nephews Bastien and Dougal, as
well as many aunts, uncles and cousins from the Caul and Bradbury
families. She also leaves behind her best friend Lucinda
"Luu" Barry, who stayed close by her side, her special
friend Alfred Upshall who shared her love of movies and adventure, her
well-loved and cared-for fur babies, as well as many extended family
members and friends.
Justine was sweet, caring, outgoing and artistic.
Her physical limitations never held her back from living a full and
beautiful life. She loved animals of all kinds, and caring
for her dogs, cats and rats brought her a lot of joy and
happiness. Her artistry came through in the things she made
like her sun catchers, unique jewelry pieces, and different types of
keepsakes that she was able to share with
others.
She loved a good adventure, whether it was on the movie
screen, in a video game, camping with her family and friends or
competing for gold. She was a proud member of the Special
Olympics, enjoyed her races win or lose, and made many unforgettable
friends during practices and competitions. She never missed
a party, if at all possible, and everyone loved seeing her coming in
through the doors.
From the first moments of her life, Justine was a
fighter. She was tiny, but she was strong and fierce, and
she gave everyone who loved her extra meaning in their
lives. She passed the day before her
37th birthday. Every one of these days was a
miracle and will forever be treasured by her family and friends, near
and far.
Special thanks to her aunt Gertie and cousin Michelle for
being such a huge support and presence in her whole life and over
these last days. Also, the family would like to acknowledge
and thank the nurses and staff at Carbonear General Hospital for
giving her comfort, reassurance and peacefulness over the last days;
and to Dr. Tootoni for giving her attention and dignity above and
beyond the call of duty.
